Stylish Blog Award!

I just received the Stylish Blog Award from Oomph [Sorry, I tried looking everywhere for your name but couldn't find it] at rockoomph.blogspot.com and I would like to shout out a BIG 'THANK YOU' to her!
You must check out her blog and follow her. I don't remember exactly how I found her blog but I'm glad I did.

Her style is chic and very sophisticated. I'm sure you'll love her too!

The rules to accept this award are as follows:

1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself.
3. Give the appreciation and award to 7 bloggers and let them know of their award.

I picked these two pictures from Oomph because those Jessica Simpson shoes are just gorgeous! I'm in love with them. Thanks again, Oomph. I really appreciate you passing this award on to me.

7 Facts About Me:

1. I'm a go-getter. If I see something that I really want, I usually get it because I don't like to give up that easily.

2. I'm a believer of Astrology and horoscopes. I'm Capricorn to the core.

3. I love to drink milk and love to have anything to do with it, except chocolates and ice cream.

4. I would rather spend my allowance on shoes and bags than on clothes and other accessories.

5. I prefer online shopping to in-store shopping, ANY DAY.

6. Technology and dreams really fascinate me.

7. I would love to model for the lingerie brand, Triumph someday.

So now I pass this on to 7 bloggers who have had my attention for the past few weeks/months that I've been blogging and I hope they accept it.

It's Christmas!

[Wearing: Mango Coat, Aldo Booties, ASOS tights, Label-less Dress]

Here's wishing you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
A big 'Thank You' to all my lovely readers out there. Hope to see you guys next year too! Have a wonderful year ahead.

I just turned 20 today too. I don't feel any older than yesterday, even though I think I'm getting a little more boring with every Christmas. All I want to do is stay inside and relax. Could be the exam pressure as well, because our internal exams start on the 4th of Jan.

Anyway this is what I wore to Church today. Nothing fancy, but I thought I should do more outfit posts.
Hope all is well! Merry Christmas once again!

Oh, and since it's my birthday today, I thought I'd also do a giveaway post, but I don't know what I'll be sending out so just watch this space! I'll come up with one soon.

Courtesy Ditsa, my sis for the photographs and her obsession with the broken-down background look.

Every winter, it's all about tights, hosiery, and socks! Funny how these little things can make the outfit so sexy. Whether they come in stripes or spots or hearts or in weird patterns, they're simply gorgeous. I'm especially a big fan of patterned and suspender tights, and as I had mentioned earlier, knee-high socks with sheer tights. Sexy as hell. They bring their own character to the look and they never fail to impress me. I'm posting my favourite pictures out of dozens of them from Lookbook.nu, Chictopia etc.

Which one's your favorite?

Oh, Goodies!

I love the sound of the doorbell in the afternoon. It's a sign of great joy and relief! Joy because the postman usually shows up during this hour and relief as the cleaning 'Didi' comes to take care of our very disorganized kitchen. I got a few packages this week and I was almost dying out of excitement!

No. 1 - The ASOS Twist Plaits Sandals in tan that I wanted so badly, had run out of stock in size 4, so I got a size 5 for my dear cousin, Ditsa, who had been eying them since forever. I had blogged about it earlier in my ASOS Addiction post too. They are just gorgeous! I should be given the 'Best-Sister-In-The-World' award for getting her these lovelies.

No. 2 - Not so spectacular but great for daily wear, I also got myself a pair of  Mango Wedge Sandals. The price was fantastic! I think I just paid about £15 for these. They're authentic, and brand new with tags.

No. 3 - Since they were offering free international delivery, I got myself another ASOS deal. A black suede semi-booties with a front zip, I picked them up for just £20. They had sales on selected ASOS Collection items so it was a good bargain, with no shipping charges included.

Yesterday I had gone to the market in Sarojini Nagar and I just realized how I'm so fond of it. If you have a good eye, you can find really good pieces for cheap. I bought tonnes of sweaters and woolens for less than a thousand bucks. Picked up a few for my mom and sister too. Bestest deals in the world. Period.
I also tried taking pictures of myself again. [Cam-whore alert!] With my mini tripod and my very very basic camera, I gave a shot at self-timers. Failure. Failure. Failure. And then a little bit of success. One would think that 12 Mega Pixels for a camera would instantly produce top-notch photographs, but it isn't as easy as it would seem. The correct lighting is the key to all of great photography. And right now I just had my sorry-ass tube light to help me capture some not-so-good pictures but I'm sort of satisfied. It's like how they say 'beggars can't be choosers'.
Knee-high socks over sheer tights. Love.
I should do a post on socks and hosiery soon. My new obsession.

Recently I'd been browsing through Marion Cotillard's pictures after watching the movie 'Nine', and I think she's gorgeous. She's a French actress who's starred in many French films and a few English movies including Nine and Inception. Her beauty is something you don't see everyday; classic beauty. I love her accent too. Plus, in 2009 she was chosen as the face for Dior's "Lady Dior" advertising campaign. Her style is simple and sophisticated at the same time. Something about her reminds me of Audrey Hepburn as well. This year in July, she featured the cover of Vogue. Here are some of the pictures off the shoot for Vogue, Dior and Elle.

This was when she won an Oscar for 'La Vie en Rose'
