I can't believe that I haven't done a blog post for a whole week without realizing it. I seemed to be preoccupied with a lot of things and I seriously need to buck up, chin up and start getting my swagger back on. Our exams are slowly, but surely, going to creep up on us and I need to maintain my grades so that I can keep my parents, teachers, and myself happy, otherwise it would result in a 'failure' in life, which I detest.

All thanks to the India vs. Pakistan Cricket match, my tuitions teacher cancelled our afternoon class and I finally got some time off to wander around the place and take some photographs. While the rest of India and Pakistan had their eyes glued to the television, I was strutting around the park in my 6-inch Danys, taking pictures, hoping that the monkeys around wouldn't attack me. I absolutely ADORE the Danys. They're so abnormally comfortable to walk in, although those platforms tend to give you the idea that they're monstrous and clumsy. They're my most prized possession from my shoe closet right now. Love love them!

I apologize for the lack of posts. Will have more to post soon!
You guys tell me which one you prefer; Minis or Maxis?

The Lazy Song

I'm still in the mood to just lay in bed and watch tv, and listen to some good music. I'm a HUGE fan of the show, American Idol. This year's judges are as good as they were last year, although we all miss Simon too much. Watching the contestants sing and perform makes me want to do the same, although I can't even do half of what they can!

This reminds me of another one of the many many things that I like to do. I used to sing and record random songs on my PC, using my computer mic and post random videos on Youtube. I like to sing English dubs of the Japanese anime theme songs, make videos and share it with other anime fans. I don't really want to link it to my blog, but I'll just post a video of a collab between another Indian Youtube singer, Ankraj and myself. This one's 'Lucky' by Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz. Listen to it if you have time to kill. Otherwise, no pressure.
Don't mind the animation. It was just an outcome of a bored and jobless me, who wanted to try out the newly downloaded Macromedia Flash.

Now I'll go back to my bed and read some Corporate Law text books.
Tell me,
do you guys also have a Youtube account? If yes, leave me a link, I'll be sure to check it out!

I wanted to write a blog post the other day but then I got distracted with cooking and watching TV and then forgot all about it, thinking I had already posted it. I haven't been logging onto Blogger either. I thought I would do a post every couple of days but lately, I haven't been doing much. I wake up, attend my classes and then more tuitions and after I'm back home, I'm too tired to do anything.

Let's say, I haven't been too motivated for these past few days. Plus, everybody in Delhi is so fired up by the Holi atmosphere and I can't seem to go out because of the fear that I might get hit by a water balloon [gobaras]. Anybody living in the capital will be able to tell you what it's like during the Holi season. Kids and even guys on motor bikes roam around the place, carrying water balloons and throwing them at anyone they see. It's annoying when you get hit and get your clothes wet, but it's so much fun when you throw it at someone else. Hence, I've been avoiding any outdoor activities. If you want to know more about the festival, read it HERE.

Anyway, I want to show you guys my new baby, the Forever 21 Miu Miu Mary Jane inspired platforms. I had blogged about them HERE. I finally got them after a month of Googling and Ebaying. Rebecca from Oomph was super duper kind to help me purchase it. Do check out her blog. You won't be disappointed!
And, Thank you SO MUCH, Rebecca!

It's not much of an outfit post, because I'm just wearing what I would normally wear to sleep, but it seemed alright to wear my shoes with my nightwear. It reminded me of Sarah Jessica Parker [Carrie] in the movie, Sex and The City, where she even wore heels to bed. I couldn't find a picture but it's basically on the night before the wedding where the four girls talk about Carri and Big's relationship.

Pardon the excessive leg showing. :P
So tell me, you guys,
What's your favourite brand/store?
[Mine would be ASOS]

Plain lunch

No babbling today. I'm just posting some pics that I took before I went out to lunch. Nothing special, nothing flashy; I just wanted to eat some KFC hot wings. I hadn't heard about the earthquake and tsunami that had hit Japan then. After I got back, I heard about it and I was completely heart broken. I'm not much of a people-person but this sad news literally got me teary-eyed. My prayers are all out for those who suffered this tragedy caused by mother nature herself. I hope you keep them in your hearts as you fall asleep tonight.

I want to ask you guys;
What is the ONE thing that you want to do before the world ends in 2012, [if it does]?

All out of Winter

I seem to be writing a lot about the weather now days. Well, that's because it affects my choice of what to wear to get me through the day. Now we can finally bid farewell to our winter clothes till later this year in December. This season I'm looking at wide-leg trousers, colour-blocking, maxis, sheer, pleats, and lots and lots of shorts and skirts. Not to forget, sunnies and hats too. That would definitely increase the items on my must-have/must-buy/I-will-kill-to-have list and leave me forever bankrupt but never mind that. If there is a will there is a way right? Plus I can wait for mom and dad to get here and spoil me to bits before I face my nerve-wrecking finals in May.

Anyway this would be my outfit post for today. As I had mentioned, I love hearts tights and knee high socks. I hardly ever got to wear them during those chilly winter days and nights in Delhi so I took my chance when the sun was out, taking a nice little stroll in the city without killing us with its heat. Those shorts look small, don't they? But they weren't too much for the people in Delhi, surprisingly. *phew!*

[thrifted cape/top, label-less shorts, ASOS tights, Rayban wayfarers from dad (it's more than 10 years old!), Zara belt]

And I want to know,
what is the ONE thing you desperately need/want to have in your wardrobe this month?

Sheer Everything!

I recently got a few new tops and I've been dying to wear them ever since. I have this fetish for sheer clothing and my hands seem to always pick them up first before anything else. Plus they weren't just regular tops but stuff from ASOS, River Island, Charlotte Russe and Miss Selfridge. They must have been factory rejects or something, although I didn't find anything wrong with them.

Don't you just love buying lovely cheap clothes? I certainly do. You'll find me visiting that particular market over and over again with hope of finding more goodies.

The one below here is an open back white shirt from Miss Selfridge. I love how the back looks when I wear it. Yes, I would wear it here in Delhi, despite what people may think. And no, I will not stop buying sheer tops, even though I tend to over-wear them during the summer.

So tell me,
what is your favourite spring/summer trend?

X-Ray

I went to get an x-ray to this clinic in Connaught Place, and this may sound silly but I was really fascinated by all those x-ray machines. They made me wear this really heavy coat sort of thing to prevent harmful radiation while they x-rayed my jaws. It was really cool! Technology has indeed come a long way and there is still plenty of room for more growth and greater inventions.

Without it, we're left helpless and needy. Well, atleast it does for me, who thrives in it; I would be completely lost without my laptop and an internet connection. My old little laptop has failed me this time; the charger has gone caput, and till the time my new charger arrives, I shall be technologically handicapped. But I'm glad to mention, that thanks to my new Apple I-pod, I can continue blogging, even though it's not the same as viewing it from a 13 inch screen. May God bless Steve Jobs and Wozniak. So in their honour, I will post a pic of an Apple. :)

Anyway my beau accompanied me to the clinic and he took some random shots of me while we were walking. It was like shooting in stealth mode! That's my new Dooney and Bourke bag that I got off an auction on E-bay. I'd say I'm pretty much a 'D&B' fan. Totally love their vintage edition satchels.

[label-less jeans, pumps and coat, dooney and bourke bag, FCUK top, YSL glasses]

And also, I have to add that all the pictures in this post were edited using my iPod. Hence the small sizes. It took me quite some time to figure out a way to insert the images, but persistent me got the hang of it and this us the outcome of hours on lying on my left hip, 'listening' to FashionTV, and eating dried plums.

So tell me,
how much time do you spend on the computer/laptop?
