Prima Donna

Singing Marina and the Diamonds' 'Primadonna' and skimming through chapters on inflation and unemployment, while trying to reach the Temple Run objective of scoring 10 million points is just calling for irregular eating habits and messed up sleep cycles. Yup, that's what the annual exams do to me. Sometimes I don't even see the light of day. It's like going into hibernation until the exams are over.

But when I do go out of my house, I like to make the most of it. Dress up (or down) and get the cameras rollin'. Well, maybe not always, but whenever I'm not lazy enough to pass that opportunity for another 6 hours of sleep.

Just a few photos from my Friday stroll in the city, with my dear cousin who refuses to let me mention her name.

1. Collar necklace that I received as a gift a few years ago
2. Snobiz strawberry flavoured shaved ice (Green apple is my favourite!)
3. Zara patent loafers
4. Yours truly from the back
5. Her Zara wedges

Gold

[asos dress & cuff, zara sunnies & shoes, charles & keith bag, romwe necklace]

I happened to come across a picture of Olivia Palermo in these gorgeous Zara sandals and I knew I had to have them. It was already sold out in Zara by then but that didn't stop me! Ebay came to my rescue, of course. I found a pair in my size for a decent price so I snagged it in a jiffy. My best buy on Ebay till date. You've got to give me some credit for my persistence when it comes to purchases like this one.

Moving on to other things, I've been procrastinating and spending way too much time playing games on my iPod. Fruit Ninja, Tiny Wings, and recently downloaded Temple Run are some of my favourites. Also, you have to try The Moron Test. That's like the cutest, most annoying game ever! I enjoy competition, so if you're on Game Centre and would like to compare high scores, leave your email address in a comment below and I'll send you a request or vice versa (pithsala@gmail.com). There's nothing like the feeling you get when you beat your friends' high scores (or get beaten). Like a boss.

Also, I'm going to be moving to a different city by the end of June for further studies, so I've got tonnes of clothes and shoes to sell/giveaway. I'll probably just sell off some of my shoes and giveaway my old clothes to charity, and store the rest of them at a friend's place. Stay tuned, if you're interested in some cheap bargains.

Tod's SS12

A few days ago, we were invited to interact with Caterina Guarnieri of the Tod's International Press Office in Milan who was making a trip to India for a short while. She introduced us to Tod's SS12 collection which was a combination of trendy handbags, belts, and the much coveted loafers, all made with the finest Italian leather and the best craftsmanship. Of course, that would be why it's a well known luxury brand.

I don't usually approve of patent leather but I changed my mind after seeing some of their pieces. Their new collection focuses on the much 'younger' consumer, with many bright coloured shopper bags and classy chic shoes. If you're looking to invest in your first luxury designer bag, I'd genuinely recommend Tod's.

Lunch was all good and fun, with Lesly, Rinchen, Surabhi and the rest of the Tod's' PR team. Spent some time talking about little things and munching breadsticks.

Photos of my outfit in my next post will be up in a few days.

Art Of The Trench

[picture 2, 3 courtesy of Rinchen, 1, & 4, courtesy of the Cat]

You must have already heard about the Burberry's Art of the Trench campaign from Manou, Lesly, Arushi, or elsewhere, but I'll just fill you in with the same in brief.

Last year, Burberry selected Manou of Wearabout to shoot for the project in India. A varied bunch of celebrities, editors, models, and some bloggers were shot, amongst whom were Arushi, Lesly, and myself. After the project was over, we were invited to launch the exhibition of the photos in February this year.

Amidst giant ipad-like screens, champagne, and delicious chocolate brownies, we were pretty much lost in our own world of fascination for the whole feel of the event. Seeing some renowned figures in the fashion industry and interacting with the Burberry team was the highlight of the evening, apart from the occasional sigh at the beautiful shoes worn by the guests.

Lights

My life is an array of misplaced thoughts and countless commitments but I'm finally getting down to sorting out my future map, slowly but surely. I just came back from a short trip to Goa with my brother and his friends and since then I haven't been doing anything productive, mostly because I'm still hungover on the mojitos, dancing and the seaside that I seemed to have overdosed on.

The feeling of letting my hair down and being spontaneous felt alien but I enjoyed it a bit too much. Trying to get back into the study mode with a relaxed spirit and a handful of memories from Goa isn't easy. Blogging doesn't feel like a task anymore, so I'll probably be indulging in it for a while.

More posts soon!
