Recap

[wearing BB Dakota skirt, lipsy shoes, thrifted top]

A quick post from our Twist meet that happened a few weeks ago. Met some lovely bloggers [Rohinie, Renee, Lesly, and Rinchen] and had a fun shoot after wards.

I have my next exam in two days and I haven't done my bit of studying in the past 3 days so I'd better be off now. Don't forget to enter my giveaway here.

Love.

Linen

[zara heels, asos pants, top c/o sugarlips apparel (a lot of freebies for fellow bloggers!)]

So I've got a quick update for you. My exams have just started and it's going to stretch till June, but no worries, I'll try to keep my blog alive every now and then.

With the city heating up like crazy, I've decided to wear more cotton apparel [isn't that obvious?] but the sad part is that, cotton and linen garments tend to wrinkle up so quick and look terrible after a while. You can see the result of a short outing on my linen trousers in the photos above. Not my best shoot, yet not my worst [I hope].

Also, my lady photographer is on vacation so you'll see less of outfit posts till I find a temporary solution to this recurring problem of mine. [In reply to Lesly's statement, yes, photographers are indeed very hard to come by!]

First Find

[asos skirt, mom's top, ebay cuff, koi couture shoes]

Do you remember the first time you indulged in online shopping? Well, I do. It started off with Ebay Global Easy Buy, then I discovered Missguided after which I moved on to ASOS and it never really stopped after that. Ensconced in an armchair, I began my online shopping pursuit which could be the reason why my wallet seems anorexic most of the time.

This tangerine skirt was a piece of my first ASOS order, and I can almost feel the excitement I experienced when it arrived at my doorstep. Of course, I had made an error with my size, but a little tailor's magic got it fixed. Now most of my purchases are done online because I'm either too lazy to go to brick-and-mortar stores, or I don't find anything when I do go mall hopping.

These pictures were taken a little late in the day so they appear dark and grainy even after adjustments in their brightness and contrast. Also my tanned feet [a result of my goa trip] didn't do justice to the Koi Couture wedges that will probably be my go-to footwear this summer. Despite the height, they're comfy as hell. Love how this UK brand makes such cute and affordable shoes. I'll update you on the retailers that stock them besides Ebay.

[photos by my stylish friend, NRS, who's slowly getting the hang of using my SLR. Will feature her soon I hope.]

Twist Launch

These were all taken at Twist, in Hauz Khas Village during their launch preview a few weeks ago. Pretty little accessories and bags filled the store along side their many labelled collections. I couldn't really grasp all the names of the designers, but you can see that their garments speak well of them.

There's Ranjunee Chakma [don't you just love her glasses?] with her debut Spring/Summer collection which was a delight in itself. There was this really pretty jumpsuit that I would have got for myself if it were available in my size. [Hear that, Ranjunee?] Lesly had done a mighty impressive shoot with some of the pieces from this collection so you can have a look here. I hope they're not all completely sold out by the time you set foot into the store!

I will undoubtedly visit Twist again, and grab something for myself for a change, instead of ogling at online stores all day and cribbing about our poor currency. [Someone needs to work on the Indian Rupee ASAP!]

And this time, I'll be back with another post sooner than you'd expect.

Boodwah

BOODWAH is a UK based online Etsy store that stocks unique pieces of vintage inspired high waist shorts and bikini sets that I happened to stumble upon one day (thank you, Google image search). Jayne Whitehead is the woman behind all their pretty designs and she also has her own boutique at ASOS Marketplace. You have to pay her store a visit if you're also a high waist trend fanatic.

My current favourite piece from her store would be these lavender floral shorts. They're pretty reasonably priced so you might want to have a look.

Here's yours truly in a pair of Boodwah shorts. The finishing is superb and I'm terribly fond of the material she's used for this particular pair; the glossy leather look is what I crave for in such garments.
P.s. you may excuse the upturned collar and the crushed shirt; it's all part of being really bad-ass. Or maybe not.

All Smiles

[thrifted top, asos skirt, mng bag]

Somebody has definitely turned up the heat here in Delhi and I have to reluctantly pack away my tights and denims before I settle down to prepare for my annuals. Thoughts about moving to a new city gets me all excited, but it doesn't take long before it's dampened by the reality of actually MOVING my things. Flustered and moody. Yeah. That's how I see myself in June, amidst all the packing, shifting and my exams. I shall try not to get into the non-blogging phase again, which I often find myself in.

I hope you're all drinking enough water and treating your skin gently! Summer usually calls for more acne and breakouts so I'm being very careful with my skin too. Also, some of you have been asking questions under anonymous profiles so I don't know how to get back to you. In case you'd like to ask me anything, you can either contact me via email, Twitter, Facebook, or Formspring

Till then, stay safe.
